Ashish Sethi named new Johnston-Willis Hospital chief medical officer
Ashish Sethi has been named the new chief medical officer at Johnston-Willis Hospital.
Richmond, VA — HCA Virginia has named Ashish Sethi the new chief medical officer at Johnston-Willis Hospital, effective July 5.
A vascular and interventional radiologist, Dr. Sethi was most recently a full partner at Radiology Associates of Richmond. He has served in multiple leadership capacities during his career, including vice chief of staff and chair of radiology at TriCities Hospital, as well as vice chair of radiology at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center.
“Ashish has a proven track record of operational excellence throughout his practice and several HCA Virginia facilities,” said Beth Matish, chief executive officer of Johnston-Willis Hospital. “He has led teams to grow service lines in both outpatient and inpatient settings, and we look forward to him joining us at Johnston-Willis Hospital.”
He earned both his Master of Health Administration and his Doctor of Medicine degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University. He completed his medical internship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, followed by radiology residency training at the University of Florida. He went on to serve as the chief fellow at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital for his vascular and interventional radiology subspecialty training.
During his time at VCU, he completed his apprenticeship at the University of California in San Francisco where he focused on creating procedural service lines, patient safety, organizational culture, and information technology utilization in healthcare.
